Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Bills Radar (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android application available on Google Play. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Bills & Financial Data (Stored Locally On Your Device):
    All your bill details (bill names, amounts, due dates, categories, payment frequencies, payday dates, and safety buffers) are stored 100% locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. We do not transmit, sync, or store your personal bill details on any external cloud servers.
  • Diagnostics & Crash Reports:
    We collect anonymized crash reports and app performance data through Firebase Crashlytics to monitor stability and fix bugs.
  • Anonymous Analytics:
    We may collect non-identifiable usage events (e.g., onboarding completion, app opens) via Firebase Analytics to improve features and user experience.
  • Data We Do NOT Collect:
    We do not collect or access your real bank accounts, bank credentials, debit/credit card numbers, contact lists, GPS location, or SMS messages.

2. Android Permissions

Our app may request the following permissions solely to enable core features:

  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To deliver timely bill payment reminders and payday alerts created by you.
  • Receive Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): To accurately re-schedule your upcoming bill reminders whenever your device restarts.
  • Schedule Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM): To trigger reminders at the exact time and date you configured.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (Bills Radar Pro)

Bills Radar offers optional Pro subscriptions and lifetime access through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.

  • All payment transactions are securely processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your credit card or bank details.
  • We only receive anonymous transaction identifiers to unlock Pro features (such as unlimited bills, detailed cash flow forecasts, and an ad-free experience).

4. Advertising

The free version of Bills Radar displays ads served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and dynamic configurations via Firebase Remote Config.

  • AdMob may use device identifiers and advertising IDs to serve relevant ads according to Google’s advertising policies.
  • When you upgrade to Bills Radar Pro, all advertising SDK requests and banners are completely disabled.

5. Third-Party Services

Our app integrates with trusted third-party service providers that have their own privacy policies:

  • Google Play Services: For in-app billing, app updates, and platform features.
  • Firebase (Google LLC): For Remote Config, Analytics, and Crashlytics crash reporting.
  • RevenueCat: For subscription management and entitlement validation.
  • Google AdMob: For serving advertisements in the free tier.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

  • Provide reliable offline bill tracking, calculations, and reminders.
  • Deliver an ad-supported free experience or unlock ad-free Pro features.
  • Analyze anonymous crash logs to diagnose technical errors.
  • Comply with legal requirements and Google Play policies.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Local Data: Because your financial data is stored exclusively on your device, deleting the app or clearing the app storage immediately and permanently removes all your bill entries and settings.
  • Anonymous Service Data: Third-party identifiers (such as crash logs or purchase tokens) are retained in aggregated, anonymized form in accordance with Google Firebase and RevenueCat retention policies.

8. Security

We take your security and privacy seriously. All local app database operations are isolated in your app sandbox. Any network communication (such as fetching subscription states or crash reporting) is strictly transmitted over industry-standard HTTPS encryption.

9. Children’s Privacy

Bills Radar is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
